In clustered environments, replication traffic between indexer peers can be massive. With a Replication Factor of 3, every GB ingested generates ~2 GB of additional inter-peer network traffic.

Architects must ensure sufficient bandwidth between indexer peers and between sites in multi-site clusters to avoid replication lag.
