Indexer Clustering

Indexer clustering provides data replication and high availability. A Cluster Manager (formerly Master Node) coordinates the cluster, managing replication and search factor across Peer Nodes.

The Replication Factor (RF) determines how many copies of raw data exist. The Search Factor (SF) determines how many searchable copies exist. Typical settings: RF=3, SF=2.

If a peer goes down, the cluster automatically reassigns its data replications to maintain the required factors. The Cluster Manager ensures data integrity across all peers.
