Data Model Architecture

A **Data Model** is a hierarchically structured mapping of semantic knowledge about one or more datasets.

They consist of **Root** datasets (the base search) and **Child** datasets (which inherit and filter the root data).

Data models drive the Pivot interface and greatly accelerate searches when TSIDX (High Performance Analytics Store) is enabled.
