Building Dashboards

Dashboards are collections of panels that visualize your data. Each panel runs a search and displays results as a chart, table, single value, map, or other visualization.

In Splunk Web, you create dashboards from the Dashboards tab. You can add panels from existing reports or build inline searches directly in the dashboard.

Dashboard Studio is the newer, more powerful dashboard editor. Classic dashboards use Simple XML, while Dashboard Studio uses a JSON-based definition.
